Health Workflow Research

Understanding Healthcare Technology Challenges Through Evidence-Based Research

Our Mission

Health Workflow Research is dedicated to understanding the real-world challenges healthcare professionals face when adopting and using healthcare technology systems. Through rigorous qualitative research, we aim to identify workflow inefficiencies, technology barriers, and opportunities for improvement that can ultimately enhance patient care and provider satisfaction.

Our Commitment: All research is conducted with strict confidentiality protocols. Individual responses are never shared, and all findings are presented in aggregate form to protect participant privacy while advancing healthcare knowledge.

Current Study: Radiology Workflow Challenges

We are currently investigating workflow challenges and technology pain points experienced by practicing radiologists across different healthcare settings. This study focuses on understanding how current Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and workflow management tools impact daily clinical practice.

Workflow Efficiency

Understanding time-consuming tasks, workflow bottlenecks, and process inefficiencies that impact radiologist productivity and patient care delivery.

Technology Integration

Examining how well current PACS systems integrate with other healthcare technologies and identifying integration challenges.

Prioritization Systems

Investigating how emergency and routine cases are prioritized and managed within current radiology workflows.

Quality Control

Understanding quality assurance processes and how technology supports or hinders quality control in radiology departments.

Research Timeline

This study launched in January 2025 and will continue through mid-2025. Preliminary findings will be shared with the healthcare community through professional publications and presentations.

Research Methodology

Our research employs rigorous qualitative methods to ensure reliable and meaningful insights:

Ethical Standards

All research follows established ethical guidelines for healthcare research. Participation is voluntary, responses remain confidential, and participants can withdraw at any time. No identifying information is collected or shared.

Participation Information

We are seeking practicing radiologists who are willing to share their insights about workflow challenges and technology experiences. Participation involves a brief 20-30 minute interview that can be conducted via phone, video call, or in person.
